The Jeep Community Suffers: The Ducks Are Rolling

Rubber ducks decorating your jeep is a huge part of the community; however, one of the problems the ducks have is that they just don't want to stay put. One time when I was driving, one of my ducks rolled off the dash and under my brake pedal. You can imagine how scary that was.
There should be a quick and easy solution for keeping the ducks in place for the Jeep community in order to encourage the positivity of the duck culture.

The Idea

This design makes use of the hole that comes on the bottom of the ducks. A nail was inserted into a paint stick and then Velcroed to the dash. This temporarily worked, but over time the Velcro gave up and the ducks went rolling again.

Several Iterations

There were several things that happened throughout this process of finding something that worked. I attempted making different sizes of holders, with and without pegs, one where you could add pegs, and plenty with holes in the corner if you wanted to hang the pieces like a swing.
The concept of a peg board of sorts inside a basket came along later. The idea is that each board of ducks are interchangeable and removable. this way you can set the ducks up in multiple different ways.

Idea Two

This is a different kind of holder that can hang off the headrests. There are multiple good places for ducks to be, they just needed something to hold them there.
This holder utilizes the same interchangeable base that the other idea does, so all the ducks can rotate.

The Final Designs

This design is meant to be something that anyone with a 3d printer can make and customize. while the design is simple, it is very important to the safety of jeep owners. A perfect gift for anyone who needs to get their ducks in a row.
