Axolotls

The goal of this project it to learn about non adhesive joinery. This mask had to be completely made of a single sheet of 19 x 24 Bristol paper and made to cover the features of the individual wearing it.
One of the worlds cutest and most beautiful creatures is the axolotl. This magnificent creature is almost reminiscent of that of a dragon. This salamander is the perfect little creature to base this project off of. There are just enough features to make it difficult, but at the same time the simplicity of the axolotl makes this design difficult.

After recreating the design in photoshop to cut, there were a few tweaks that needed to be corrected.

The Instruction Sheet

The original instruction sheet (left) worked; however, it lacked in design, so I made a new one (right).

Putting It Together and the Final Look

Once the design had been finalized, an instruction sheet was to be made. This instruction sheet is for the individual who was assigned to make the mask when knowing nothing about this design.
